Managing Stress as a Multifaceted Woman: A Guide for the Viorè Baddies

Hey lady, let’s talk about something real.

If you’re juggling the titles of nurse, military, mom, wife, and maybe even amateur chef and at-home therapist (because let’s face it, who else is going to listen to your babies meltdown about their sippie cup?), this one’s for you.

Life can feel like a whirlwind, and it’s easy to put yourself last on the to-do list.

But here’s the tea: you can’t pour from an empty cup. Managing stress isn’t just a luxury—it’s a necessity.

And trust me, I’ve learned this the hard way.

My Journey: From Overwhelmed to Empowered

As a business owner, wife, and esthetics instructor... I know a thing or two about wearing multiple hats. Add to that the challenge of managing Lupus, an autoimmune disease that forced me to rethink how I approach life.

I used to push myself to the limit, but Lupus reminded me (not so gently) that my health and well-being had to come first.

That wake-up call became my catalyst for learning how to manage stress. And now, I’m sharing those tips with you, because you deserve to thrive, not just survive.

1. Prioritize “You Time” (Without Guilt)

As women, we’re programmed to take care of everyone else. But what about you? Block out at least 30 minutes a day just for yourself. Whether it’s reading, meditating, or treating yourself to a mini facial at home, that time is sacred. I am a morning girlie but my mornings are for me. I'm learning to be unapologetic about the ME time that I schedule.

2. Lean on Your Tribe

You’re not meant to do it all alone. Whether it’s a friend, partner, or your go-to work bestie, don’t be afraid to ask for help. Even Wonder Woman had the Justice League! I had to be learn to be okay with asking for help. I know it's hard especially if you are a perfectionist like I was/trying to change.

3. Find Your Calm

Stress management looks different for everyone. Some of my favorites include:

  • Deep breathing (a quick reset during a hectic shift).

  • Journaling (brain dump your thoughts before bed).

  • Regular spa days (trust me, your body and mind will thank you).

Here's a pass for the CALM APP.. click here.. I LOVE IT and helped me learn how to mediate as a beginner. My mind used to wander so bad when I called myself "meditating" so this app was a game changer for me! PS: if it doesn't work anymore they probably ended the free 30 day pass *sorry*

4. Set Boundaries Like a Boss

It’s okay to say no. Protecting your peace means setting boundaries at work, with family, and even with yourself. This was hard for me. I always said yes and had no boundaries; then would end up not showing up my best or at all. At the end of the day, you HAVE to set boundaries so you show up as your best self for the world!

5. Treat Yourself, Don’t Cheat Yourself
