Becoming a Lash Pro in 2025

"The industry is saturated."

"We will have no Doctors and Lawyers, only Lash Artist and YouTubers."

Have you heard those words before? 

I have and honestly, the amount of people who believe this is astonishing. 

Who said we can't be a Doctor and a Lash Artist or a Lawyer and a YouTuber? 

I've always been a Dreamer. I would see a system or a blueprint and follow it however... I would always want to use my experience and make it easier for those coming after me. 

I am thankful for my dreamer spirit because it afforded me to do something that I've always wanted to do in life ----- make money off my creativity.

I've taught over 1500 students how to become a lash artist and start a lash business in 10 months or less.

I love starting off with Mindset.

Why? If you believe the above statements then you're not ready to build a business. 

Having a business is about serving and elevating certain demographic with your service and or product. So if you're not ready to be in the serving business -- opening one is not for you. 

That goes for any and all business ideas.

The outcome is to SERVE and you wanting an AMG or BMW will not TRULY motivate you on those $0 days/weeks or those sleepless nights.  

The first step of starting your business is to do the Market Research and cultivating the idea of your business. 

How much does it cost to become a lash artist? What are the professional and business licenses required? How do you go about money for starting up? Who can or will invest in you and your dream? How many hours are you willing to put in for practicing lash extensions? How will you educate yourself on protecting not only you but your potential clients? Where will you find these clients? How will you promote your business? 

These are all things to think about when pondering the idea of having a business. 

Step 1: Mindset training - find a few self help books that will elevate your mind to have the emotional intelligence to pour into others and build your brand (Click here to join the Virtual Lash Pro Community for Book Club Books that are great with this step)

Step 2: Market Research - google spa or salons in your area and look at their reviews. What are people needing? What experience are they providing? Join your local community beauty groups -- What are clients looking for? 

Step 3: Business Research - what do you need to operate a business in your city? Visit your Secretary of State or Cities website to find out the licenses and costs of operating a new business in the area. 

Step 4: Support - who will support you? Are you surrounded by dreamers? What communities are you a part of? Who is doing what you want do to? Connect with the lash community (EX: Communities like our Virtual Lash Pro Community)

Step 5: The Plan - many things will go wrong however write out a plan and add a few dates to it. Do things step by step using a check list so you don't miss any important steps you found during your Market and Business Research. 

These are just the basics and if you're thinking about starting a business; these are the first and best steps to take. Remember, to make money you need to serve or provide a product/service that elevates the lives of others.
